Aerial torpedo in west-Sweden

Place: Gr&aring;bo, 25 km NE of Gothenburg (CG34)

From G&ouml;teborgs-Tidningen: &quot;Yesterday an &quot;aerial torpedo&quot; was observed, according to G&ouml;teborgs-Posten, by a person from Gr&aring;bo. At 11.40 he had heard a sound like a tornado and thought that such a phenomenon was coming. He discovered, however, a torpedo-shaped object at high altitude, which flew in a northwesterly direction. It went very fast and had disappeared within 10-12 seconds. At the local defence staff one had not received any report about the incident.&quot;

Further, from Expressen: &quot;...The local policeman states that he has received no report from any other place that anyone saw the aerial torpedo. The information is not in doubt, however, since the witness is a very reliable person.&quot;

Note: The report was not investigated by the defence, neither is the case listed in the Defence Staff tabulation of sightings. Gr&aring;bo is situated at the southern tip of lake Mj&ouml;rn. If the object maintained a northwesterly direction it should have passed in a direction out over the lake.
