I hereby respectfully submit the following summary of Finnish observations of light phenomena. These occurred during the period of July 27 &ndash; August 26.

&nbsp;

1. July 27. Lahti. Course: Southwest.

A soundless, fast-moving and shiny rocket-like object. It shone for about 4-5 seconds and didn&rsquo;t leave a smoke trail behind.

11:30 PM. Padasjoki. A similar phenomenon.

11:52 PM. Varkaus. A small number of people observed a rocket, which emitted green light. Its speed was described as having been remarkable.

&nbsp;

2. August 9. 12:20 AM. Helsinki. Likely a blue-tinged meteor. It moved at great speed and flew the 50 degrees long runway in about half a second. Its tail remained visible during an additional 5 seconds. Several smaller, yellow and reddish meteors were seen during the same night.

&nbsp;

3. August 13. 2:00 PM. Tampere. There were reports of an explosion and a subsequent smoke trail at the farm belonging to Excelsior factory corp. It is now official that some boys had been playing around with pyrotechnic fireworks.

&nbsp;

11:25 PM. Helsinki. Several people saw a particularly bright shining object flying obliquely towards the south. It left a white smoke trail behind.

&nbsp;

4. August 17. 08:14 PM. J&auml;rvenp&auml;&auml;. A rocket-like object flew to the Southwest. Approximate altitude: 500 meters. It would soon disappear behind the clouds and had been surrounded by a bright light which resembled burning magnesium.

&nbsp;

5. August 19. Unknown point in time. Oulujoen Kiviniemi. The cloudless sky revealed an unidentified flying object during the evening. Verily, the object quickly flew to the East and was observed during a mere 3 seconds, at an altitude of about 1 kilometer. Loud noises. Oval shape, significantly smaller than a conventional airplane, small wings at its front. Neither smoke- nor light phenomenon. It turned straight to the Northwest as it reached the Gulf of Bothnia.

6. August 19 &amp; August 20. Unknown points in time. &Aring;land. A group of fishermen observed as &quot;fireballs&quot; flew to the South after the time of dusk. One of these men recalls a rocket-like, magnificent light approaching at low altitude. It probably ended up swallowed by the lake.
